  • This route is designed for eligible international students travelling to Spain for a short language course outside their home country.
  • Short Term applies to stays of up to 89 days.
  • You must hold the required valid visa or travel permission for the full duration of the period of insurance.
  • You must be under 75 on the cover start date.
  • If you buy after your trip has already started, a 14-day waiting period may apply.
  • There is no cover in your home country.
  • Holidays are covered only up to 21 consecutive days within the insured period.
  • This is not private medical insurance. It is designed mainly for accidents, sudden serious illness, and other defined insured events during an international study stay.

Claims & emergency support

If a serious illness or injury may lead to hospital admission, or if repatriation may be needed, emergency assistance should be contacted as soon as possible.

For hospitalisation, direct billing may be arranged once authorised. For many non-hospital cases, students may need to pay first and then request reimbursement with the required documents.

Students should keep invoices, receipts, certificates, prescriptions, and proof of payment, and claims should be submitted as soon as possible after the incident.
