Is there a cooling-off period?

In some routes, yes. A cooling-off period is a short window after issue when a policyholder may be able to end the cover and request a refund, provided certain conditions are still met.

The details matter. A cooling-off right is often linked to not having travelled yet, not having made a claim, not intending to make one, and not having experienced an incident likely to lead to a claim. If those conditions are no longer true, the answer may change.

Do not assume that “I bought it recently” is enough by itself. Cooling-off depends on both timing and facts.
