What if my claim relates to medical expenses?

Medical expense claims usually require the clearest evidence. Keep every receipt, invoice, consultation note, test result, referral, prescription, and discharge record you receive. If the event was serious enough to involve emergency assistance, note the dates and any instructions you were given.

Do not describe the event only as “I was sick”. Explain what happened, when symptoms began, what care you received, whether the treatment was urgent, and why you paid the costs being claimed. Short but specific explanations are better than long but vague ones.

If the claim includes several providers or several days of treatment, organise the documents in date order. That small step often makes the review easier.
